POWER & BEAUTY: A LOVE STORY OF LIFE ON THE STREETS'.

Earlier this month I wrote about Common's 'One Day It Will Make Sense' and just now another rapper who by now you must know I have a soft spot for, just released his own book entitled ' Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets'. Tip Harris better known as T.I just makes me proud.  its about time the world recognized talent even through the misdemenours he has been through - The title itself is intriguing, my fingers are scratching to get a copy and alas it will be a long waiting period. While the book is no biography of him it has been described as page-turning urban African-American fiction at its very best… Surprise surprise for a supposedly jailbird. The rapper who has dropped so many chart topping hits like my all time favourite from him " "Get back up" " said his motive behind the book is to encourage the generation that he speaks to to do more reading. No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.
